I know the title of this post is fabric organization, but I couldn’t resist posting a picture of my Christmas cactus. I was given a start for this plant from a former customer when I worked for the Post Office. I learned that there are two types of Christmas cactus’. One actually blooms at Christmas, but this one blooms two times a year, around Thanksgiving and around Easter. Isn’t it beautiful. The flowers don’t last long, so enjoy.
In an earlier post I showed you an under the bed fabric organization. Those containers house the less than one yard pieces of fabric. This is my solution for the fabric over one yard. I was lucky enough to already have a closet that has been divided into @ 12 inch sections. I now have the neatly fabric folded and divided by yardage. 1 to 2 yard pieces, 2 to 3 yard pieces and pieces large enough for backing.
I then took it one step further and recorded the measurements in a photo album.
The album is stored here. The next organization post with let you know what is in the box pictured here…
