My mom was born on April 8, 1933, so today is her birthday. She left this life to go to a place where she can once again breathe and be free of pain. She has been gone for almost 5 years, but it seems like yesterday and forever. A strange thing happens when a person dies. You are happy that they are free of pain, but you sad for yourself because you miss them each and every day.
The young man in the background is my nephew, Troy. He is also now free of pain and celebrating this day with my mom. He has been gone for a little over 10 years. I miss them both each and everyday and look for signs to know that they are still with us. Today I went into my yard and the purple flowers let me know that my mom was there. You see, purple was my mom’s favorite color. Happy 80th Birthday in Heaven!
