Create a friend Cricut card – cheerleader
Hooray! Jess made OSU cheerleader for the 2014-2015 year! She was on the squad last year and made the squad again. We are so proud of her, so I just had to make her a card from the whole family. I used the Create a Friend Cricut cartridge to make this card.
Create a Friend Cheerleader – Cricut
I cut my cheerleader at 5″. Here are the cuts and the colors I used. It does become tricky when there are so many layers.

Next, I cut the words for the front of the card and the megaphone for the inside.
I used Ohio State Stickers for the front of her uniform and for the megaphone.
Cricut Craft Room Basic
The Cricut Craft Room Basic font was used for the words and I welded them in the Cricut Craft Room. The congratulations stamp is from Stampin Up. I hope this helps you in designing your own card.
Jess is the blonde cheerleader on the left…CONGRATULATIONS!!!
Baby Shower Signed onesie
I am the proud Grandmother of a darling little girl named, Annie Elizabeth. In January, I hosted a baby shower for my daughter and on one of the tables I had a onesie for everyone to sign.
signed onesie for baby shower
I purchased a package of onesie’s at Walmart. The trim was purchased at JoAnne’s.
I first attached the trim around the neck of the onesie, by hand sewing. Next cut a piece of freezer paper and with the shiny side up, ironed it to the inside of the onesie. This was to help the fabric stay in place while the guests were signing their names.
I then used a gold fabric pen to write the date of the shower on the front of the onesie. I placed a permanent black marker on the table at the shower for the signatures. (check out other baby posts on my blog for instructions for the other items)
All of the guests enjoyed leaving a message for our dear Annie!
To display the onesie, we purchased a shadow box. The lining of the shadow box was black,so to tie the shadow box into the theme of the nursery, we decide to line the back of the box with fabric that we had used in the nursery.
This is the shadow box hanging on the nursery wall. We also included the wrist bands and hat from the hospital in that shadow box. I attached all the items to the back of the frame with straight pins.
I Cricut graduation – Wild Card cartridge
I am happy to say that I spent a wonderful weekend celebrating the graduation of my nephew from Ohio University in Athens, Oh. In honor of his graduation, I made this card. The font is “Kate’s ABC’s”. I went into the Cricut Craft Room to weld the letters. They are 1.5 inches tall with a (-4) for the spacing. The card is 8 1/2″ x 11″ Forest Foliage cardstock by Stampin’ Up. (I think it is now retired) I folded the cardstock in half to make a 5 1/2″ x 8 1/2″ card. I cut the Whisper White 5″ x 8″ and inked the edges with black ink. The graduation cap is cut at 4″ from the “Wild Card” cartridge. I wanted to make the tassel show up, so I got out my white embroidery floss. I cut a piece of cardstock 2 1/2″ to wrap my floss around.
I wrapped it a few times and then I cut a small piece and tied it at the top
Next, I slid the floss off the card and tied it about 1/4″ down from the top.
Now, take your scissors and cut the bottom of the floss to form the tassel.
Thread the top strings of the tassel through the hole in the graduation cap and secure it with Scotch Tape.
I then cut 2 small sections of the green cardstock and placed them over the tape and on the bottom of the inside of the cap. I cut “Craig’s” name out of the program and taped it to the green cardstock.
Now, place a glue dot on the cap to keep the tassel in place.
This is the inside of the card. I used a Stampin’ Up punch and cut the diploma from the “Wild Card” cartridge. I used a small envelope for the “gift” of cash.
